I GOT AN AGENT!!!

HELLO DARLINGS!

I hope this message finds you enjoying the holiday season. Well, after acting for more than 50 years and doing more than 80 plays I am thrilled to have met an agent who is looking forward to sending me out. She has lots of experience, took a break and now she is back and ready to rock and roll! She is in the process of bring this new agency B&E Talent Agency into the status of "Boutique" which will ultimately have a small selection of very talented and unique actors (my favorite kind of agency) because you don't get lost in the crowd of people all calling themselves actors and all looking for the same thing.

It's amazing actually that I met her at this particular stage of my life and career. We both will be taking a strong curve toward making it a successful partnership. I'm ready. Confident. Looking forward to the future and enjoying life as an entertainer. I make sure I sing somewhere in public (of course I sing on my radio show ... the LUNCH AND JUDY SHOW) but it's important to be in front of an audience for me... I love that!! Yes, we all want a sweet '16!

HELLO DARLINGS!

I have to add my blog on my daily routine list! I am a person that really benefits from routines. The many routines that I enjoy DAILY are: Listening to Abraham-Hicks for inspiration, listening to Sadhguru for inspiration, listening to an audiobook to get a feeling what different people experienced growing up. Oh, also I've completed one year of daily Spanish lessons with Duolingo ... It's fabuloso! I'm 40% fluent and plan to be 100% by next year.

As a writer, I'm working on two plays (when I'm inspired), love to do illustrations of women ... portraits mainly. Don't know why they are looking so depressed but that is the way they turn out. 

I started drawing cartoons a number of years ago and they have a completely different look:

I feel so lucky to have these interests. For a long time I woke up regularly in a depressed state. My main passion is acting and have been in more than 80 plays, but getting older made the parts fewer to get. Anyway, I wrote my own, and will save that bit of info for next blog. Sure hope to remember to write one. Have a wonderful day darlings!

NO TIME TO START LIKE RIGHT NOW!

     Well, I sent off my first letter to Wes Anderson, the first Director on my list. I'd so LOVE to work with him as his work is beautiful and I love beauty. THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL would be my idea of working in heaven. 

     Designed and am having printed, cards with my brand. As Stephen Mitchell says: "This is not instead of all the other work you are doing, this is in addition." Along with my usual daily activities which include: Spanish lesson, Illustration, creating and writing another WIDOW for the book, choosing another tune for my one woman show HIDE & SEEK, creating a TV Producer's list to add to my contacts and send notes of introduction to, make an appointment for next week because "all work and no play makes Judy sad."

HELLO DARLINGS!

     Well, this is another attempt to create a blog, which I have heard is a very important tool in getting "known" by the world. Perhaps this time I'll be more successful and I can keep up with my thoughts (good luck on that one!) and share them with you.  I am in the midst of writing a one woman show entitled HIDE & SEEK. It is pretty much a memoir on how I navigated my lonely childhood which brought me to this place. 

     I used to resent being neglected, but now I realize how lucky I was to have been forced to become self sufficient and very well able to navigate my world in my own, unique way which has been first by HIDING in the characters of others. I always knew I'd be an actor because it was on the stage that I received the love I craved so desperately. More recently I've been SEEKING by writing stories, plays, poems always looking inward to find "ME". 

     Several years ago I created my first radio show ... first A Radio Chat with Judy Stadt, which was a live call in show. The reason I started it was because as I have always been a lover of Radio, the shows that I listened to made me CRAZY. I would walk around the house screaming ... not good. So I went to a local station and sold them on my ability to talk. They knew of my popularity as an actress locally so I had two hours every Saturday to play with. I did some local interviews and the call ins were not very satisfying (I'm really not into chit chat and nonsense). So, I created THE LUNCH AND JUDY SHOW, yes after The Punch And Judy Show. This show is heaven for me because I do everything myself ... the content is written by me, including songs & poetry, I sing with dead singers such as Sinatra, Clooney & Torme because I can edit myself in.

     All of my life trying to be heard. Of course, that seems obvious now (it took more than 70 fucking years to realize) that because nobody listened to me as a kid that I won't tolerate being ignored.   Anyway, more later darlings.
